Our Annual 5K Race / Walk

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US IN 2024 FOR OUR 11th ANNUAL RACE/WALK!

Bessie’s Angels is a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to nurture, empower, educate and to provide low-income housing to young women touched by the foster care system. 

The walk/run goal is to get outside and have fun while we raise funds to open additional “Bessie’s Place” homes in cooperation with the Cleveland Land Bank. The homes will provide young women who have aged out of foster care a safe place to live.  All proceeds from your ticket benefit our organization by helping meet immediate needs of young women.

I further state that I am in proper physical condition to compete in the race, and that I am an amateur runner. Also, I authorize the use of my name and/or photograph, taken at this race, for use in any news media.

    Date: 4th Thursday of the Month
    Time: 3:30PM — 5:30PM
    Location: Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus - MCC Building

  • Annual Empowerment Summit

    Date: 2025 to be announced
    Time: 8:00AM - 2:00PM

    Ladies 16-24 are invited to this free Empowerment Summit. Get ready experience an INSPIRING TIME with food, fun, laughter and more. There is a 30 minute orientation for Foster Parents and Workshop Participants! Bessie's Angels, Cuyahoga Community College & Division of Children & Family Services present workshops that will encourage, educate and feed the soul.
